It is not social welfare that is the problem, it is corporate welfare. We spend twice as much on corporate subsidies than we do on social welfare while our veterans suffer from PTSD and live on the streets, our mentally ill have no facilities anymore to get help either. I remember when those funds were cut by Reagan. One day we had a beautiful and effective facility for the mentally ill and the next day we had hundreds of homeless in our county.
Psychology has always been one of the most fascinating yet controversial social sciences to explore. Why? For one, its main purpose is to study, understand and predict behavior, in addition to investigating mental processes.
