I felt like this image was a good overview of emotional intelligence of gifted children. It seemed in line with Salovey and Mayer's (1990, p. 34) ideas on emotional intelligence when they said it was, “the ability to monitor one's own and other's feelings and emotions, to discriminate among them and to use that information to guide one's thinking and actions.”
Psychology has always been one of the most fascinating yet controversial social sciences to explore. Why? For one, its main purpose is to study, understand and predict behavior, in addition to investigating mental processes.
